Every few months we updated you on the progress made on the Texas Youth Permanency Study (TYPS) conducted by UT Austin, in partnership with Upbring and sponsored by The Reissa Foundation and The Simmons Foundation. This study, now concluded, was a 5-year longitudinal study following 500 foster youth who were 14–21 years old at time of recruitment. Participant recruitment occurred at child welfare courts across Texas, beginning in June 2019.

This quarter, we’re marking the conclusion of TYPS with our final report identifying key components for securing better outcomes in emerging adulthood.
